North Marin Water District awarded Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from GFOA
(Posted June 22, 2021) North Marin Water District is proud to have been awarded The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) ‘Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting’ for the 12th year in a row. The certificate was awarded for the District’s comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2020.
This Certification of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and it represents a significant achievement by a government and its management.
“It is an honor to receive this award for the 12th consecutive year,” said Julie Blue, Auditor/Controller for North Marin Water District. “We are committed to the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail, and it is great to see the North Marin Water District team recognized in this way.”
North Marin Water District’s Accounting Department is responsible for general accounting and budgeting, payroll, purchasing, treasury management, risk management, materials inventory, and human resources. In addition to these important responsibilities, the accounting staff delivers a comprehensive financial statement each month with extensive cost-accounting detail allowing the District managers to closely monitor revenue and expenditures.
The following staff members made significant contributions to the attainment of this Certificate of Achievement: General Manager Drew McIntyre, Julie Blue, Nancy Holton, and Nancy Williamson.
